June 20-22 - AVP Pro Beach Volleyball
The top players from around the country are back in Belmar!  A great time for young and old as top men and women athletes run, jump and dive as they advance through various rounds to the finals on Sunday.
July 9 - Sandcastle Contest
Visitors and residents alike can join professional sandcastle builders as active participants or spectators.  Individuals and groups in several age categories will build for terrific prizes and bragging rights.  Held at the 18th Avenue Beach, registration and sandcastle building start at 8 AM with judging from 12-1 PM.  The event is free to all participants.
July 11 & 12 - Johnny Cobb Memorial 5 Mile Run
Attracts thousands of runners each year to Ocean Avenue and Silver Lake Park.  Friday evening features a health walk, children’s race and family movie with the big race on Saturday morning.
September 12, 2008 to September 14, 2008 - Belmar Pro
One of the East Coast’s preeminent surfing championships attracting surfers and spectators from around the world. The 16th Avenue beach is the place to be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
October 4, 2008 - Antiques-by-the-Sea
An antique sale and appraisal day presented by the Belmar Historical Council. Taylor Pavilion, 5th & Ocean Avenues beginning at 10:00 am.
October 12, 2008 - Belmar Fall Festival
Entertainment, crafts, art, games and lots of fun for kids and adults. Main Street from 8th to 10th Avenues beginning at 10:00 am.
